I’ll email you some advice (things I wish I’d known before moving here)about areas to live (shout out to Jerzy City!). I’m touched that we actually inspired some one. That’s just, well that rocks. I agree, I’ll work on getting Chris on to sing for a future episode and no he doesn’t look like Ryan Seacrest. They both have blond hair and blue eyes but Chris is way, way hotter.

Also in your discussion about the fact that stand up comedians don’t get taken seriously in terms of acting roles and thus recognition for awards like the Oscars, I immediately thought of a counter example. What about Robin Williams.

And finally generally I am not a big movie-goer, but I did recently see Pan’s Labyrinth. Did either of you get a chance to see it as well? I would love to hear your thoughts on it if so.

I just found out that Wendy was my secret knitting pal - YAY - and I’ve been listening to your podcast, starting from the beginning (I’m through the second show). Great stuff! I’m a fan.

Wee suggetion: you should do a cat segment - or heck, a whole cat show! All about paws, petting and persnickity feline things. I would be interested to know if your cat is a “yarn cat” (this trait seems to be on the decline, even among cat owners who knit).

Gotta say, whatever equipment you’ve gotten works well. I was commenting to Jenny that you guys have a real clean signal over the net. I thought Marty’s mic could come up a bit, but overall, whoever’s controlling the knobs knows what they’re doing. Are you running any compression on the signal at all? I would’t be surprised if you are. Even when the two of you laugh hard, which thankfully is often, laughter rocks, the levels seem to maintain without getting any real clipping. That is a very good thing.

I’m an audio engineeroweenie. Sound matters in these things. On BZT, having the playback distorted or off level in any way can wreck my mood for days on end. But, it’s worth it. I think we have the finest sound on the internet. Well, out of the .002 percent I’ve heard. And it’s about to get even better once we get the Ogg Vorbis up and running.

I wish I would’ve taken some notes as we listened last night. There were sooooo many things that made us laugh our asses off. And I thought to comment on them, but here today, sheesh, I can’t recall a single one. I drink.

Also, although I am not vegetarian I don’t eat animals that have been pumped full of hormones or fed non-vegetarian feed. That means that my choices are pretty limited when I go out to eat. Well this weekend I went to a great vegan restaurant in Boston’s chinatown, and I can say that imitation chicken does taste just like chicken! It was nice to have a bunch of choices, but I can’t imagine how it would seem to someone who was truly vegetarian or vegan. One of my vegan friends that I went with mentioned how overwhelming it was to be able to order anything off the menu.

…yeah, I probably would’ve too.

Wanted to let you know I finally subscribed to your podcast. Although, it wasn’t knitting related, I highly enjoyed it. Im sipping on a 7 and 7, knitting, and listening, and I’m having a grand time indeed. I wanted to tell you I beg to differ with your opinion on the Wire. I can totally knit while watching the Wire. As a matter of fact, the dvd season is my favorite knitting tv watching companion. Maybe it’s because I can totally relate to the dialect that goes along with it. Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t knit on a lace shawl, but something simple oh yea. I know exactly what’s going on by dialect alone. Now, on Lost and 24 I totally agree with ya’ll. I can’t even watch any of those without feeling like I want to kill myself. Especially Lost. 24 is a little better, but not much. Anyway, ya’ll got a good thing going! Keep em coming. I’m listening!
